AquaSafe makes tap water safe for fish by neutralizing chlorine and heavy metals present in municipal water supplies. Tetra EasyBalance with Nitraban

Reduce the need for frequent water changes in your aquarium with EasyBalance®, now improved with Nitraban™, an additive that reduces nitrate levels in aquariums. EasyBalance® offers a number of benefits, including: reduction of phosphate; stabilization of pH and kH; and replenishment of essential trace elements and minerals. Nitraban™ adds nitrate reducing granules to the water. The white biodegradable granules settle into the gravel where they are broken down by bacteria. Eco-Start

Establishes biological filtration in new aquariums

Eco-Start may be added as directed following water changes and whenever the ammonia or nitrite concentration in the aquarium is measurable on a quality test kit. Presence of ammonia or nitrite indicates that an excess of decaying organic material exists in the aquarium, and is often caused by overcrowding and/or overfeeding of the fishes. Always practice sensible aquarium husbandry; this product is not meant to be used as an alternative to making regular water changes or replacing filtration media.

New Aquarium Set-Ups:
Set aquarium up as desired, install all mechanical filtration, adjust temperature and chemical parameters of water to desired values and allow to circulate for 12-hours, then add one 5-ml pouch of Eco-Start for every 12-gallons of water in the aquarium. Then, add one 5-ml pouch of Eco-Start daily to the aquarium for every 25-gallons of water present for the next 4 days. When following these directions, fishes, plants, and invertebrates may be added to the aquarium as desired. Always maintain sensible stocking densities of aquarium livestock and do not overcrowd. Signs of overcrowding are constant aggression and frequent outbreaks of ecto-parasites related to stress.

Established Aquariums:
Eco-Start may be added once weekly at the dosage of one 5-ml pouch per 25-gallons of water in the system. If using under gravel filtration, add one 5-ml pouch of Eco-Start per 25-gallons in the system following water changes; additionally, follow the same directions when cleaning or replacing biological filtration media, which often houses dense populations of beneficial microbes, or after medication an aquarium. Eco-Start may be used to temporarily counter excessive ammonia and nitrite produced when an aquarium is overstocked or overfed, however sensible aquarium husbandry practices are always encouraged. Refer to literature printed on general aquarium care and husbandry before setting up a new aquarium and avoid the temptation to overcrowd an aquarium, no matter how beautiful the fishes, plants, and invertebrates may be in the store! A sensible approach to aquarium husbandry promotes success and minimizes frustration.

Discus Buffer

Discus Buffer™ adjusts water to any acid pH in the range of 5.8–6.8. It is completely compatible with Neutral Regulator™ and may be combined with it in fixed ratios to yield a preset pH.
